Sweden´s Emma Nilsson shot an opening two under par, 70, to hold a one shot lead after the first round of the Sölvesborg Ladies Open hosted by Fanny Sunesson.
The 20 year-old Swede started strongly with birdies on the 6th and 8th holes and an eagle on the 9th, for an outward nine holes of 4 under par. Nilsson faltered slightly coming home with bogeys on the 12th, 16th and 18th and a solitary birdie on the 13th hole.
Denmark's Daisy Nielsen and Rebecca Green from Australia are in close pursuit after both opening with a one par, 71.
A further shot back at even par and in a tie for fourth place are Switzerland's Melanie Maetzler, Italy's Chiara Brizzolari, Maria Beautell from Spain and Sweden's Emilie Westrup.
The second round will commence at 8.00 with a cut to the top 40 professionals and ties after 36 holes.
