                                                                                 Vittoria Valvassori

England's Georgia Hall, Cassandra Kirkland from France and Italy´s Vittoria Valvassori are tied for the lead at 6 under par after the second round of the Open Generali de Strasbourg at Golf Club de Strasbourg, in France.

Valvassori shot the low round of the day, 67, 5 under par, with birdies on the 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th and 17th. A lone bogey on the 2nd hole did not hamper the Italian's progress and she will feel confident going into the final round tomorrow.

The 31-year-old will also be hoping to play her way into the LET's Lacoste Open de France Feminin, which takes place next week at Chantaco Golf Club in Aquitaine. Lying in 5th place on the Generali Ladies Tour order of merit, Valvassori will need to overhaul Sweden's Isabella Ramsay, currently lying 2nd on the order of merit and tied for 11th place going into the final round.

The Italian's playing partner, Cassandra Kirkland chased Valvassori with a 4 under par, 68. The Frenchwoman also recorded a solitary bogey, coming on the par three 15th but five birdies in her final 11 holes put the 33-year-old in a tie at the top of the leaderboard.

England's Georgia Hall, the overnight leader, faltered slightly with three bogeys in her first eight holes but a solid back nine of 35, saw her home in level par, 72.

Daisy Nielsen from Denmark added a second round 71 to her opening 68, to lie in 4th place on her own at 5 under par, with Finland's Sanna Nuutinen and Melanie Maetzler from Switzerland a further shot back in a tie for 5th position.

Forty-three professionals and nine amateurs made the cut, which fell at +5, 149.
