Germany's Olivia Cowan maintained her lead in the Borås Ladies Open with a second round 69, for a 36 hole total of seven under par, 137.

The 19-year-old played solidly with five birdies and two bogeys in her round, placing the ASGI Ladies Open champion two shots ahead of Brazil’s Victoria Lovelady, who also shot 69 for a two round total of 5 under par, 139.

Oona Vartiainen (70) sits a further two shots back at 3 under par. The Finn is in great form after picking up her first title on the LET Access Series last month, winning the Open Generali de Strasbourg in France.

Fellow countrywoman Sanna Nuutinen (71), Scotland’s Michelle Thomson (69) and Emma Nilsson (68) from Sweden are all tied for 4th place at 2 under par.

Scotland’s Gemma Dryburgh, who is playing in her first LETAS event, sits alone in 7th place at one under par, after rounds of 72 and 71.

Forty professionals and eighteen amateurs made the 36-hole cut, which fell at +9, 153. Play will commence at 7.00am for the final round.
