Who is your favourite golfer? Jason Day Which is your favourite club in your bag? 58 degrees What’s been your biggest golfing achievement of your career? As an amateur probably the Spanish amateur championship and the British girls I won in 1998. As a professional, I won a couple of years ago the Spanish Championships in 2014 and also in 2005 my first year as a professional in South Africa. Which is your favourite golf course? The Emirates Golf Course in Dubai, I like the atmosphere, setting and the tournament What is the one thing you could not live without? Music Who do you most look up to? Seve Ballesteros. He came to a clinic for a talk when I was a teenager and his presence was amazing - I love his history. What is your favourite food? Jamon How would you spend your perfect day? Going to the beach with friends, going for a swim and having a few beers at a BBQ Your favourite city? Cape Town Describe yourself in one word? Kind What do you like doing besides playing golf? Photography, this is my second passion If you could travel anywhere where would you go? South America What’s your best golfing tip for a beginner? Lots of patience and hard work to improve, it takes time Do you have any superstitions before a round? Not really the only one I might have is if I putt well the previous day I will use the same ball marker for the rest of the week What is your most memorable sporting moment? Probably the Spanish Championship in 2014, I won in the play off and the adrenalin I felt was such a high Do you listen to music before your round? No I don’t, but I listen to music on the way to the course What’s in your golf bag besides golf balls and clubs? Sun cream and lots of food! What are your goals for 2016? To get my full LET card back and maintain this for the following year. |
