Nuutinen and Folch Lead Bossey Ladies Championship

                                                                                                        Elia Folch

Sanna Nuutinen from Finland and Spain’s Elia Folch will head into the final round of the Bossey Ladies Championship tied for the lead at 8 under par.

Nuutinen posted a career low round of 63 yesterday, and was reasonably pleased to follow up with a par round today, on the challenging Golf & Country Club de Bossey, near Geneva.

“Today was a little rougher, but I managed to shoot level par, which is always good if you shoot level or under, you should be happy. The putts didn’t drop like yesterday and also I missed some greens on the par 3’s, so I was either making a good save or making a bogey."

"I haven’t lost anything yet (with today’s score). It’s fun, I’ve put myself in those positions before so try to learn from them. Hopefully now I have enough experience,” said Nuutinen.

Folch followed up yesterday’s 66 with a 4 under par, 68 and the young Spanish player is looking forward to the challenge tomorrow.

“I actually played better today than yesterday, so it was nice to still shoot low. I’m really happy and excited for tomorrow. I’m excited to test myself for tomorrow and see, since I gave myself a chance just see what happens,” commented Folch.

France’s Emilie Alonso is just two shots back at 6 under, posting a par round today. The 25-year-old started to work with a mental coach just two weeks ago and is already seeing some results.

“I’ve been working a lot on my mental side lately. I was so lost the last year and the last couple of weeks. I was like whatever I do this week, do it with confidence. If you’re not confident, well just hit it the best way you can. Tomorrow will be the same. If I shoot 5 under that’s great. If I shoot over, that’s going to be the way I will be playing that day. I think I improved a lot in the last couple of weeks.”

"The last time I shot six under was ten year’s ago so I was shooting one under, two under, sometimes three under, but six under didn’t happen. So yesterday, I was out there and said hey whatever comes, it comes and that was just my mentality and tomorrow whatever comes it comes. I’ll just stay focused,” said Alonso.

Noemi Jimenez, a winner earlier this year at the VP Bank Ladies Open, is tied for fourth place, alongside Justine Dreher of France. Jimenez posted a 69 and Dreher, a silver medallist in the women's team golf at last week’s European Championships, recorded a 66, for a two round total of 5 under par, 137.

Forty-nine professionals and 2 amateurs made the cut, which fell at +5, 147. Play will commence at 7.45am tomorrow.
