Denmark's Monica Christiansen held her nerve to win for the first time on the LET Access Series at the Dinard Ladies Open. The young Dane started the final day three shots behind the overnight leaders, American Megan Grehan and Spaniard Mireia Prat.

Christiansen had been feeling a little sick with flu symptoms, but came out fighting with a birdie on the difficult opening hole. A bogey followed on the short par four 3rd but she bounced back with another birdie on the 5th. A further bogey on the 9th meant an even par opening nine. A solid back nine of one under par put Christiansen in control and she had to sit and wait for the final two groups to complete their rounds before she could start to celebrate.

France's Caroline Afonso shot a closing 67, finishing in a tie for 2nd place, alongside the Netherlands' Chrisje de Vries and Germany's Ann-Kathrin Lindner at one over par. Lindner had briefly led by three shots after scoring two birdies on her front nine. Four bogeys on the homeward run put paid to her chances of collecting her first professioanl title.

England's Charlie Douglass and Kelly Tidy finished in a tie for 5th place at 2 over par, which was Tidy's best finish as a professional.

Overnight leaders Megan Grehan and Mireia Prat found the going difficult on Sunday, Grehan finishing in a tie for 7th place and Prat in 19th position.

The LET Access Series continues with the Ocho Golf Ladies Open, which takes place in Galicia from the 1 - 3 May.
