HIGHLIGHTS

2018 was an outstanding year for Manon has she gained her maiden win at the WPGA International Challenge after falling into a play off with the previous years Champion, however Manon held her game and was crowned Champion.

In 2017 Manon gained her LET Tour card by finishing in the top five. Manon's best finish in 2017 was at Forget Foundation PGA Championship in third position. She competed in 13 touranments in the 2017 season.

In 2016, her first year on the LET, Manon played in 4 events with her best results T41st and T43rd.

Manon started playing golf at age 11. Won her first tournament at age 16, the Belgian Youth Trophy. A year later, at age 17, she won the Flanders Trophy. Later that year she was awarded with the Trophy ‘Annette de Vooght’ (Best Player under 18).

Manon became a member of the Belgian National Team in 2008 and defended her country at several European Team Championships, as well as the World Amateur Team Championship in Japan (2014).

PERSONAL

After graduating from the Top Sport School for Golf in Hasselt (Belgium) in 2010, she started her education at the University of New Mexico. In May 2014 she graduated with a major in pshychology and minor in management. She played college golf in a NCAA Div 1 team for four years. During that time she won the Colonel Wallenbergs RAM classic (Fort Collins Colorado)(2012) and the Mountain West Conference at the Dinah Shore golf course (2012). In 2014 the Lobos won the Mountain West Conference, again at Dinah Shore golf course.

Received honors as an All-American Scholar from the National Golf Coaches Association in 2010 and was named All-Conference Second Team in 2013 and 2014.

Belgium’s Manon De Roey held on to her one-shot overnight lead, after an up-and-down final round, to take victory at the Santander Golf Tour LETAS Valencia - finishing -5 for the tournament. Final day playing partner Carmen Alonso remined in second place as the duo both posted matching even-par scores of 72 on the final day at the Club de Golf Escorpion.

One of Manon de Roey’s goals for 2017 is to finish in the top-five on the LETAS order of merit, thereby earning a card to play full-time on the Ladies European Tour next year. The 26 year-old from Belgium has three top-ten finishes this year on LETAS. With one missed cut from eight events, Roey is currently sixth on the Order of Merit.
