Luna also won a tournament in 2017 at the Castellum Ladies Open with rounds of 74,67,67.

2016 saw Luna play in 13 LETAS tournaments. In 2016 she also turned professional and won her first event at the Terre Blanche Ladies Open.

Luna placed 11th in the 2015 LETAS Order of Merit with just 7 tournaments. Luna had six top twenty finishes during the season four of which she finished in the top 3. Luna’s best finish was at the Ribeira Scara Patrimonio del la Humanidad International Ladies Open in her home country Spain where she finished in a tie for second place. Luna remained competing as an amateur for 2015. 

Continuing her amateur schedule in 2015 Luna claimed the Smyth Salver at the RICOH Women’s British Open for the leading amateur after finishing in a tie for 13th in her first Major.

Luna has had a highly successful amateur career, representing Spain at an International level. Luna was a finalist at the 2013 Ladies British Amateur Championship and claimed victory at the 2014 European Amateur Championships.


Luna resides in Palma de Mallorica, Spain. When not on the practise ground or on the course Luna enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends. Luna also enjoys going to the cinema. Luna started playing golf at just two years old, alongside her father who is also her coach.

Sobron wins playoff at rain-hit Castellum Ladies Open

Luna Sobron played seven tournaments on the LETAS in 2015. During the season, she had six top twenty finishes which included a second place finish at home in Spain. It was a stellar year for the then amateur, who finished in a tie for 13th as the lead amateur during the Ricoh Women’s British Open.
