LETAS Status 03 - Winners of the LET Access Series Order of Merit


2017 Sarah competed on the Ladies European Tour as she gained her card from the 2016 LETAS season. Sarah still managed to play in 2 LETAS tournaments.

In 2016 Sarah played in 15 LETAS tournaments. Sarah won the order of merit in 2016 where she did not win an event Sarah had five 2nd place finishes.

Sarah played in 6 tournaments in the 2015 season. Sarah competed as an amateur for her first two tournaments before turning professional at the end of August. Sarah’s best finish of the season came at the Open Generali de Dinard and the Solvesborg Ladies Open hosted by Fanny Sunesson where she finished in a tie for 9th place.


Sarah born in Wagna, Austria began playing golf at the age of 9. When Sarah is not on the golf course she enjoys other sports including skiing and tennis. Sarah attended University of Florida and majored in Telecommunications. While at university Sarah won back to back NJCAA Championships in 2012 and 2013.

Players To Watch Leading Into VP Bank Ladies Open

The opening Pro-Am of the VP Bank Ladies Open 2019 was played on Thursday in spring-like conditions. The players will compete for the €45,000 prize fund starting today at the second LETAS event of the year, with cooler temperatures and more humid conditions. The 102 professionals and 22 amateurs, will be aiming to finish in the top 48 and qualify for the 9-hole match plays on the final day. Also, accuracy is needed on the par-3 third hole, the title sponsor VP Bank will reward every hole-in-one on this hole with 50 grams of gold.
VP Bank Ladies Open Presents New Format

The six edition of the VP Bank Ladies Open will take place at GC Gams-Werdenberg from the 3 – 5 May, with some exciting changes and additions to the event. The prize money has been increased to 45,000 euros and the tournament will be played with a new format for the first time, the "Mätzler-Mix", named after the event promoter, Guido Maetzler. The title sponsor, VP Bank, will also reward every hole-in-one with a 50-gram gold bar.

Austria’s Sarah Schober was delighted the waiting was finally over to record her first win on the LET Access Series. Although the 26-year-old topped the 2016 LETAS ranking, she was winless throughout the year, finishing as a runner-up five times.

Although the wind was a little stronger in the morning, the afternoon starters for the second round of the Terre Blanche Ladies Open had the worst of the conditions. Torrential rain had been forecast from midday onwards but fortunately that little bit of wind forced the heaviest rainfall south of the golf course.

English amateur Meghan MacLaren shot an impressive six under par on the final day, to win the Santander Golf Tour LETAS La Penaza in Zaragoza, Spain. The 22 year-old from Cambridge improved each round, with 69, 68 and 66, to finish at -13, two ahead of Sarah Schober from Austria.

The tournament will bring to a close an exciting finish to the LET Access Series, with a €35,000 prize fund and the all-important points for the LET Access Series ranking.
